Anna Cope

Forensic Interview Program Manager

Anna Cope is the Forensic Interview Program Manager for Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Centers. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from the Indiana University School of Social Work at IUPUI. Prior to coming to Susie’s Place in 2016, Anna worked several years with the Indiana Department of Child Services, serving in both Marion and Hendricks County. While at DCS, Anna was a mentor and peer coach, assisting in training new family case managers. She successfully completed ChildFirst Arkansas in 2016. Anna has worked with multidisciplinary teams from across the state of Indiana, and teams across the US. As a forensic interviewer, she has interviewed well over 1,000 children who are reported victims or witnesses in child abuse and neglect investigations. Providing children a safe place to come and be given an opportunity to speak about their experience is what Anna believes is the best part of her job.

Outside of forensic interviewing, Anna enjoys training multidisciplinary team members and her community about child advocacy centers and child abuse and neglect investigations. She has assisted in training several new forensic interviewers. Anna works alongside Riley Children’s Hospital and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in training medical residents. She also conducts quarterly trainings for new family case managers with the Department of Child Services. Lastly, she created Oh Crap, it’s a Kid’s Case for local and state law enforcement which she has presented to multiple jurisdictions in Indiana.

Anna is the proud mom of two rotten little boys who are obsessed with Queen and The Beatles. She thinks her husband is pretty great too! Her family also has a very loved rescue dog. During their free time you will find her family having dance parties, being outdoors, or reading Harry Potter.
