Chief Development Officer
Cathy brings more than 25 years of professional experience in branding, message strategy and community outreach, and deep personal commitment to Susie’s Place’s mission after serving as a board member and officer for seven years. As Chief Development Officer, Cathy leads our efforts to sustainably offer and grow our capacity to provide best-in-class forensic interviewing, advocacy services and prevention education.
Cathy is an Indiana University-Bloomington graduate (back when IU was still “just a basketball school”) and has called Hendricks County home for more than 20 years. Cathy worked in broadcast news for a decade before switching gears to media and public relations, ultimately leading regional marketing, communications and outreach for the state’s largest, nonprofit academic health system.
Establishing a full-time, dedicated leadership position for relationship building and fund development has been a long-term goal for Susie’s Place. A generous grant from the Hendricks County Community Foundation helped make that goal a reality in 2026.
