Child and Family Advocate
Erin is a Child and Family Advocate at the Bloomington Susie’s Place. After growing up in Bloomington, attending IU, leaving for almost a decade to pursue higher education, then returning to raise her kids, Bloomington is truly Erin’s hometown. Her familiarity with Bloomington has been enhanced by her relationships with so many people in this wonderful community. These connections, along with her law degree and subsequent work in both legal and social service positions, make her job as a Child and Family Advocate a natural fit.
Her education includes a degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and a J.D. from University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. She has work experience with the Jefferson County, Kentucky CASA program and as a Prosecutor at the Domestic Violence Intake Center for the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Erin is also a local Realtor and obtained her Salesperson and Broker licenses in 2014.Her empathetic nature and love for children, as well as her collaborative approach with law enforcement and social service team members, makes her a great asset to Susie’s Place.
