Susie’s Place relies on monetary and tangible donations to operate both of our Bloomington and Avon, Indiana locations. Donations from generous supporters are much appreciated, and will allow us to keep our focus on helping children through 2016 and beyond.
In May of 2015, the second annual Tree of Giving event took place at our Bloomington Center. An open house was held at the center giving visitors an opportunity to talk to Susie’s Place staff and multidisciplinary team members to learn about what we do.
Susie’s Place is proud to introduce Heather Eberth-Teike, our co-located mental health provider. Heather, a longtime service provider at the Indiana Center for Children and Families now maintains an office at our Avon location providing therapy services to some of the children that come through our center.
Coming soon to a CAC near you: therapy dogs! We are welcoming a new partnership with Love on a Leash canine therapy program to host therapy dogs in our centers during the week to provide their calming, loving presence to the children and families that visit our centers.
The party was in full swing on October 3, 2015, at the Country Club of Indianapolis. Susie’s Place held their 5th Annual Masquerade Mayhem that night including a silent auction, live auction, dessert dash sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Avon and entertainment by 176 Keys – Fun Pianos.
